first a gay bashing in the most liberal town in north carolina, and now some kid kills his parents and goes to the prom, allegedly holding a prom party in his house, then leaving his parents' bodies festering for two weeks.
he went to durham academy, eh? i went to that school briefly when my parents deemed the "restructuring" of chapel hill's middle school into a "touchy feely 'no honors' 'competition is bad' poo collective in which no one learned anything except that two hour homerooms were good for self esteem" was bad for my education. my sister went to durham academy for most of her elementary and middle school life. (chapel hill high school, in constrast to the chapel hill middle schools, was an excellent institution, and we both attended chhs.) anyway, durham academy, from what i remember, consisted of two types of students: kids whose parents were sick of mediocre public schools and who didn't live in the enloe magnet school district... and stupid rich kids.
i think this kid falls squarely into the "stupid rich kid" category. the operative word being "stupid." actually, there are a lot of other adjectives that are more on point than stupid, like "evil" and "callous," but who just leaves two bodies festering in his home for two weeks, uses a credit card to check into a hotel five miles from home, and expects not to be caught?
i guess it sucks when you can't afford anything but a public defender, because you killed the people who could have hired defense attorneys. this guy is a subhuman putz.

not only that, but they actually make it there.
as with everywhere else in the world.

crack is really easy to make. i think you just put coke, baking powder, and water together and boil it.
no wonder it's everywhere...
