now slavery deniers are crawling out of the woodwork! apparently, slavery wasn't so bad, and if you think it was terribly atrocious, you hate america! because other countries / civilizations also had slaves, so america is not unique in this regard, which makes it all better!
okay kids. let's put it this way: if you and two of your friends were standing in front of a toilet, and you were the only person drinking toilet water, your action would be considered vile and disgusting. but let's say that all three of you were drinking toilet water. since all three of you were drinking toilet water, the imbibing of feces-laced standing water is "not so bad." get it? logical, right?

To be contrarian, I think point #6 is solely an argument against reparations for slavery paid out currently.
Not only do a lot of West Africans rather they were born in America, they actually immigrate here. So, if we're talking about the long-term "cost" of slavery vs. staying in Liberia or Zimbabwe...
Of course, there's a strong argument to make that doing so is completely the wrong metric.
i think a better argument against reparations would be the concept of laches. it was just too long ago, and too many people would be unfairly prejudiced if reparations were to be given in 2007.
the way he articulated his point #6 was just "wtf"!!! it could be read to mean "hey, black people might be better off here. be thankful your ancestors were tossed onto ships." that's just fucked up!
