a random thought before i go to bed

i just stumbled upon yet another indictment of multiculturalism. okay i just closed the window and i'm too lazy to go into my browsing history and find it. it's 1:35am. i'll admit that i'm not well-versed on the prevailing view of "multiculturalism," but i'll assume the detractors mean a "salad bowl" society rather than a "melting pot."

if so, come on... why do you people have to be so eXtreme?

as a foodie, i'm going to suggest an alternative: the slow-cooked chili bowl. the ingredients retain some of their indentities, but they also absorb some of the flavors of the other ingredients.

and now i'm hungry again.
