hopefully, this series won't meet the demise of "all american girl"

guess what's coming to CBS. georgia lee's "red doors" has been commissioned to appear as a television series on CBS. it will be the first prime time series featuring an asian-american family since margaret cho's "all american girl." (margaret cho will also be coming out with a new series on fox i think.)

note: one of the daughters in "red doors" is a lesbian. represent!

and as expected, some of the guys on the modelminority.com board (www.modelminority.com/bb) are upset (you know, the ones who told the producers to suck white cock and die). well, ya can't please everyone, and a few angry misogynistic and anti-semitic noisemakers are not the ones i'd want to placate anyway. (yeah, they really pissed me off. can ya tell?)

a side note: more asian americans should get into the entertainment industry. put down those stethoscopes and get your ass to hollywood. or go to law school and represent the people in hollywood. tell your parents to kiss it. you're not going to help change society in an operating room; the m.d. plates will be nice, but if you want to have an impact on culture, go into media, journalism, or the law.
