suffrage

so i was thinking about women's suffrage, having recently seen iron jawed angels, when i discovered on Wikipedia this nice list of places in the world where suffrage is not extended to women.

Bhutan: One vote per family in village-level elections.
Kuwait: Female suffrage at the municipal level only.
Lebanon: Proof of education required for women, not required for men. Voting compulsory for men, optional for women.
Vatican City: Voting restricted to all-male College of Cardinals.
Oman: limited to 175000 people chosen by the government, mostly male.
note that the only place that totally prohibits women from the vote is the Vatican.

nice touch, that. the most medieval country in the world, i guess.
