a blog i stumbled upon.

the pakistani heretical girl, written by a queer pakistani girl living in england. this is her site's quick description: "Apostate Pakistani girl in England speaks out and tells her own story of surviving Islam." yes, it is angry, but please don't be put off by the anger. the anger is justified. it is very eye-opening. read her back story, the parts about the hijab, forced marriages, and the u.s.'s afghan policy. it will make you think about the limits of multiculturalism and how western feminists and the left in general may not be seeing the full picture regarding women's place in islam. reading her blog made me realize how ignorant (and lucky) i really am. more people like her need to speak up and get their voices heard.
