and a generation later china is facing a crisis because the male-female ratio is out of wack and there are not enough women.
even tho the u.s. never took mao up on his offer, just think of how massive a fuck-up he would be remembered as being if the u.s. had agreed.
you took the words out of my mouth. china now has a skewed gender balance and millions of chinese men have no chance of marrying within their own country. i believe the same thing is occuring in india where there isn't even a one-child policy.
