hoboken was under a foot of water, and then my building caught on fire. wading through polluted new jersey swamp water in blinding smoke is fun!

other people in town had water up to the hood of their cars.

update: yippee! my building is still there! (i haven't been back. the police told us to make arrangements for last night, so we waded off to the PATH to new york city, which was surprisingly only slightly flooded.) i think it is "exposure D." (if you look at the photos, you'll see the knee deep water. fun!)
