break from politics.

lately, political discourse has been especially mean. and i'm being mean. and that's not nice.

so, like the APs "paris hilton embargo," the next week will be politics-free for me!

you know when you're just in a bad mood, and you are tempted to rant? and you have a general feeling of "grrrrr"? i don't know if i've been more ascerbic than usual, but lately, i've just been tempted to take swipes at people. anyway, this blogging thing should be uplifting and *release* rather than cause stress. it was just getting to that point where i was being annoyed more often than not.

yeah. i usually end up ranting. it sometimes makes me feel better. sometimes it just feeds my anger. politics can be so toxic. it's one of the reasons i took a months-long break from blogging.

one of things i noticed was how verbally abusive i could be. usually the targets were real jerks anyway. the Charlie/Cheney troll at kevin drum's blog is a good example. i'd call him a worthless sack of shit and taunt him and all that. really childish, but somewhat satisfying. still, it's not like i win any converts to the liberal way by acting like that.

others are commenters like Fitz who flit around liberal/feminist blogs arguing in calm, reasoned terms that gay marriage will destroy america. i could be nice to him, but i've grown tired of polite, smiling bigots who talk in soft tones. what they advocate is just as ugly as it would be if they were screaming 'Faggots burn in hell!'.

toxic indeed. hence i think i need a break. i was getting to the point where i wanted to take out the verbal sledgehammer.

anyway, i've been wanting to post about other topics - and i never finished the "let's look at westlaw at the california probate code and see who gets anna nicole's money" post. ha ha.

okay, i had to tie up a few loose ends on other message boards before the embargo truly began.

it also doesn't help that i've been derided as a "gay leftist" on indegayforum (under a pseudonym) while simultaneously being called a "self-hating mary cheney" clone on joemygod.

then you just have to sit back and say, "well, gee. ain't that trippy?" the political blogging scene is so absurd. and i'm going to remove myself from the absurdity for a while.

remember being called a "psychotic jesus freak" when you merely suggested that demonizing religious people isn't a good way of winning hearts and minds? ROFL!

anyway, onto anna nicole, fun sneaker lines, streetwear, fashion magazines with affordable clothes, and, my personal favorite... FOOD AND DRINK!!!
