on this side of the hudson, many people think menendez is a greasy-palmed politician, and they really do like kean better. but fabrezing the bush stink that has dribbled into the carpet in the nation's capital is more important. neo-cons like to make fun of dems, saying that "bush sucks!" isn't a platform, but the bush-hatred might just tip new jersey in menendez's favor. at this point, bush (and house/senate republican hatred) is just another example of "res ipsa loquitur." (in non-legal terms:

the fact that

(1) shit stinks so bad and it wouldn't have happened without someone fucking up; and

(2) said shit that stinks so bad occurred when the republicans were in exclusive control,

creates a presumption that the republicans fucked up.
