i broke my personal threshhold amount in my savings account, so i opened an online brokerage account. i hope i don't become one of those dorks who get addicted to online trading.

day trading is scary. you have to refresh like 30 times an hour. day trading may set off epilepsy. i think i'm going for a more long-term strategy. plus, i'm too risk averse to day trade.
I use the loose change I find around my apartment to save up for milk! w00t!
technically, 1/3 the funds in my savings account isn't even mine. since i'm being paid as an independent contractor, it's stuff owed to uncle sam in april. hopefully, i'll get a good enough return to buffer all of those non-employee annoyances i have to pay - like 100% social security tax, health insurance, etc.
