unless you have the net worth of oprah, seeing a lawsuit through trial is simply not worth it. even the most inexperienced junior associates get billed out at close to $200 an hour, and there will always be two or three lawyers plus a paralegal working on your case.
unless you're in front of judge judy or in small claims, SETTLE. i suppose my livelihood depends on crazy litigants who are willing to go bankrupt, because they hate the other side with a passion, but really...
even if your net worth is $2MM, is it really worth it to run up legal bills of over $200k? especially if the amount being litigated is less than $100k?
