the court of appeals of new york denied the right of same sex couples to marry today. i only skimmed the decision, but the basic thrust is that the constitution doesn't compel such a right, and it is something the legislature should figure out.
anyway, they suck. new jersey will show 'em up (once the courts reopen), because we have a different constitution and more progressive judges. please take note that the decision that new york made has no bearing on any decision new jersey makes.
