okay, so apparently, the fact that d.c. comics decided to make batwoman a lesbian character is front page news on cnn. i can't wait for the day where "news" like this elicits a *yawn* or a "so what?" what did *i* say?

i said, "there's a batwoman?"

yeah. like, who cares?

i can't wait for the day when a gay or lesbian person announces his or her wedding date, and people say "congratulations!" [and of course...] "what do you want from your registry?" instead of [pause] "oh! well, that's interesting!"

[and bitches, when i DO get the inclination to get married, the question BETTER be: "what stainless steel kitchen appliances that are both functional and aesthetic would you like me to purchase for you from amazon.com or williams-sonoma? what about electronic appliances? you know... screw it... would you mind if i just gave you a pre-paid credit card?"] ha ha ha!

you should read some of the comments on the story. a few histrionic twits are hyperventilating over a fictional cartoon character having a fictional relationship with another fictional cartoon character of the same sex. some are threatening to boycott d.c. comics. some believe the comic will be pornographic.

um, NEWS FLASH. ALL superheroes run around in latex and you can see their pouches and outline of their boobies. wonderwoman runs around in panties/daisy dukes, for crying out loud.
