microsoft unveils partnership with MTV to launch digital download service. these downloads will not be compatible with iPods.
HAHA! MTV has agreed not to provide iPod-compatible content - this is the coolest thing i have ever heard.
sorry, can you tell i'm not an iPod fan? i was distracted by the pretty lights at some point, but then i actually went out and *looked at other players out there* and realized that there were better choices that weren't so damned expensive and feature-less.
i'm glad i made the right choice in buying a creative mp3 player. it's less expensive, has more features (fm tuner, fm recorder, graphic equalizer, voice recorder), and is less likely to have battery problems than an iPod. and now, i'll also have a download service that isn't sucky! (for the record, i do like iTunes' selections, but i don't appreciate having to burn my songs onto a CD and then rip into mp3 or wma format just because i think the iPod is a piece of junk and i bought another mp3 player.)
who cares! bring on Urge! competition is good!

ah yes, that shuffle. my girlfriend has one, and it's the most useless, overpriced piece of doo doo ever made. she got it for free, which is good, but it's nothing but a faceless flash drive that randomizes files. um, hello? you can't even control the order of the playlist unless you sit there and manually put everything in numerical or alphabetical order! aaaah!
my roommate just bought a nano, and it's already scratched beyond fugly. i think she's had it for three or four days, and it has never left our apartment. i don't get it. unless she's been using it as a nail file, it shouldn't look so tattered.
