get a load of this. the concerned women of america made a huge ballyhoo over barbie - yes THE ORIGINAL blonde stepford wifey - the bastion of female uber-femininity, because they were convinced that barbie was influenced by the transgender movement.

The age choices were 4 to 8 but children "are given three options for their choice of gender": I am a Boy, I am a Girl and I Don't Know.

Bob Knight, director of CWA's Culture and Family Institute, said Barbie manufacturer Mattel was being influenced by the "transgender movement."

To pose "this transgender question at little girls, they've really crossed the line," Knight said, who added that "bisexuality gender confusion" is the Web site's agenda, which is "very dangerous."

the fact that she uttered the phrase "bisexuality gender confusion" shows that she has no idea what she is talking about. being confused about your gender has nothing to do with sexual orientation. "bisexual" means that you are attracted to people of either gender. "gender confused" means that you are undecided or don't know whether you are male or female. her phrase was also gramatically incorrect. "bisexuality gender confusion." what the hell does that mean? i just wanted to get that out of the way.

the website operators always include a non-responsive or neutral choice for any poll, and a spokesperson from mattel mentioned that it was just an oversight. (perhaps, i might add, the poll might be generated from a stock script that includes an "i don't know" answer.)

why do some conservatives insist on being insane? but my question is... why did this woman even make such a big stink and READ IN a hidden agenda of purposely confusing little girls about their gender? why is she obsessed about gender identity (and sexual orientation, although she confused the two)?

what repressed angst is lurking in the souls of religious conservatives that make them so obsessed with anything queer that they read hidden signals into barbie, spongebob, and the teletubbies. these strange visions these people are seeing are similar to symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia.

tell me if any of the exclamations below are plausible.

"oh no! the gays and transsexuals are sending subliminal messages through the barbie website, and they are coming after my child, who will then get surgery to create a prostetic penis, and then she will use said prosthetic penis to boink both boys and girls! AAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! DANGER! DANGER!"

"aliens are talking to me through the light socket, and they're coming to get me! DANGER! DANGER!"

GOOD GOD. GET SOME FUCKING THERAPY OR SOME CLOZAPINE, WOMAN!
