i wonder if there are any intelligent life forms on another planet tuning in on this drama. i wonder if we are providing entertainment for other beings. the human race must look pretty ridiculous to outsiders. are they betting alien currency on the outcome of this and other situations? are we on their version of broadcast television as a "reality series"? if i were an alien looking at our planet objectively and without emotional ties, i'd be amused. slightly horrified, but amused.
