the bush administration sucks. no, really, we already knew that, but this latest revelation has gotten me fired up and mad. you already knows his stance on stem cell research, and today, i discovered that the twits in washington have been slicing away at NIH funding for years (oh that link requires registration, try the first part of this).

so much for progress.

oh and he's suggesting we cut health care for the needy as well.

but this post isn't for the indigent and disabled. this is for all the people who thought they were safe... to all the doctors, medical researchers, pharmaceutical executives, university employees, hospital administrators out there... all of you folks who used to live comfortable lives and who voted for bush's tax cuts... joke's on you. when you cut government income while spending a gazillion dollaz for various wars in the middle east, you have to cut essential government programs - like MEDICAL RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT - dum dums. that's right... close your labs, hot shots. (and to those who didn't vote for bush, kick the next republican you see.)

get out of your damn SUV's and smell reality. paying a couple thousand more in taxes is a GOOD deal.

(without getting into too much detail, i'm speaking from recent personal experience. *sigh*)

oh and just a side note... to the 25% of gay folks who voted republican last time... yeah, some of you might be well off, and you probably saved a couple thousand in taxes. but knowing how much attorneys cost (i'm getting my J.D. in seven days and three hours!), you're going to end up paying more anyway for executing contracts in the absence of state legal protections. oh and if your dear partner lays dying in a hospital in the midwest, and you're not able to visit him/her, tell yourself that the amount you saved in tax cuts is worth more than being there your partner when he/she dies. wow, that's love. brilliant job, folks.
