oh shiatt!!!!

got the speakers. i'm playing new order's "blue monday" through them at 1/4 the maximum volume (the perfect song to test out the "kick" of speakers), and they are fucking amazing. my room is already shaking.

i'm in a rush - i need to get to school - so i won't link to the pages i'm talking about. but there seem to be some "bose" haters out there. mostly, they complain about the mediocre quality of bose speakers. reading between the lines, it's because they have a great marketing campaign, go after their intellectual property (who doesn't? and just to let everyone know, bose was an MIT researcher who started this company - so don't think a bunch of morons are engineering these things), and most people think they are the best around. they cost a tiny bit more than other department store brands. some people are a little miffed by this.

jesus christ... SHUT UP. most people aren't the most anal retentive of "audiophiles," and for them, bose speakers are the bomb.

they blow their competition out of the water - they actually DO sound better than sony, kenwood, yamaha, and other department store brands, and they last a LONG TIME. yes, there are "audiophile" speakers out there, but most people aren't that anal, and at some point, there really isn't any significant difference. the human ear isn't a machine, ya know - we don't see visuals of soundwaves in our brain when we listen to music - we just hear music.

and most importantly for a little capitalist like me... they have an amazing resale value. check out ebay - low end bose speakers from the 1980's are going for over $50. low end speakers from the 90's are going for $75 to over $100. i know i can sell mine (2002 series IV) for a decent profit, even two or three years from now. so all of you whiny bitches who are boycotting bose because you think they cost too much or because they have a strong market share... i'll be laughing all the way to the bank when i resell them. bose buyers got the best bargain... and the last laugh.
