a caveat: this is simplifying things a bit, but the holding was partially based on a supreme court ruling that private organizations may bar anyone they wish. this isn't a "pro-homo" ruling; it is a pro first amendment ruling.
the ruling they cited was the supreme court's ruling that the boy scouts may bar homosexuals. if the boy scouts may bar homosexuals, then private universities may bar people who discriminate against homosexuals.
but i'm happy anyway. :D
however, it is wise to note that this ruling may be used in the future to bar homosexuals in other private institutions. just playing devil's advocate.
