grrr. i'm in a belly-ripping mood today.
what would it take for blue states to secede? how can it be done? frankly, at this point, i'm fucking sick of the south and the midwest and the religious bullshit these fuckers keep trying to pull. i'm also mad as hell that people like me have to suffer the consequences of the idiotic iraq war. why not just secede and let them deal with the dirty bombs and nuclear retaliation for the invasion of iraq?
i'd rather let them clean up their own damned mess. i want my tax money spent where *i* live. i want a government that respects the rights accorded to us in the US Constitution, my property rights over my body, and my equality with those who possess y chromosomes.
and for fuck's sake, i want the money i pay to support public schools to go towards providing an education and not religious indoctrination. creation science, my ass. anyone who uses the word 'science' and 'creationism' in the same breath needs to be admitted to a mental hospital.
sorry for all the cursing. i've just fucking had it. let the evangelicals have their little theocratic experiment. i'll be happy to sit up here in the northeast with all the other pansy liberals, sipping lattees, laughing my ass off because The United Christian States will be a third world shithole inside of a decade. not like some parts of it aren't already.

well, considering that the civil war ended the practice of slavery here in america, i think it was more than worth it to fight for holding the union together. but, if the blue states seceded now, we'd be leaving the women and minorities who live in the red states to the tender mercies of modern american christianity. i'm not sure if that's really the right thing to do. i know it would make me happy if we could govern ourselves without having to deal with the jesus freaks. but, then they'd govern their territories without having to deal with *us* and our pansy liberal values holding them back from their more authoritarian impulses.
