in the final moments of the olympic games on nbc, during china's presentation commemorating the handover of the olympic flag, a little kid sang "the jasmine song" on top of a large red lantern the size of a small stage.
the announcers on nbc: "there is a small chinese girl singing 'the jasmine song' on top of a lantern."
okay, i just thought that was funny.
that kid will end up on VH1's "where are they now?" in a few years, telling all.
"aiya! they made me wear a stupid sailor girl outfit and these frou-frou pigtails. and i didn't even want to sing 'the jasmine song!' i wanted to sing britney spears!"
the olympics are over. it's been fun.
