Terra Nova published an article picked up by Boing-Boing Blog entitled Censorship in TSO, where "TSO" refers to the online environment for The Sims Online.
Now, while The Alphaville Herald article on virtual child hooking itself is creepy enough, the response from the company that owns TSO is equally as creepy.
The creepiest thing of all is that from now on I'll probably be addicted to reading The Alphaville Herald and its competitors, if there are any. I am the creepiest person because it'd be just up my alley to obsessively read an online newspaper about daily life in a simulated real-life environment for a game I've never played.
Having now outed myself as the creepy stalker person, I wonder: does anyone else out there do this sort of thing? Read about the simulated gaming life of other people?
Ick. I wig myself out. More meds, please.
